v Jesus
Christ is the Son
of
God, the Living Word
of God, the Risen Lord.
v Holy Scripture (Old and New Testaments) is the inspired Word of God written, a
true record of God’s covenant with mankind and the saving acts of Jesus Christ,
and the foundational authority for all teaching and activity in the Church.
v There is only one, holy, catholic
(universal) and apostolic Church, the Body of Christ existing across the
world and across the ages, of which we are members by Baptism. We are part of the Anglican Communion, a branch
of the one true Vine.
Ø
To praise God with pure and
holy worship.
Ø
To win souls to Jesus Christ by
the witness of our words and lives.
v The Church is called to be:
Ø
Orthodox, believing the true, historic and complete Faith delivered once
and for all by Jesus to His Apostles as set forth in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds.
Ø
Evangelical, always spreading the Gospel of Christ.
Ø
Charismatic - in-dwelt and empowered by the living presence of the Holy
Spirit.
v The Holy Eucharist in which we truly receive the Body and
Blood of the Crucified and Risen Jesus is our central act of Christian worship.
v The three-fold New Testament Ministry of Bishop, Presbyter
(Priest) and Deacon is an essential feature of the biblical, apostolic Church,
maintained in a continuous succession from the Apostles.
v We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, final
judgment of all, everlasting bliss in a New Creation for obedient believers,
and everlasting punishment of those who knowingly reject Jesus Christ.
v As Christians we are called to a holy life of moral
purity as taught in Holy Scripture, and to grow into the full stature of
Jesus Christ, Lord of the Church.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16,17)
